Hospitals of Regina Foundation - Story of Inspiration

JANUARY 10, 2025

Under the banner of Lampblack Studios, video producer Jeremy Ratzlaff and his production team are submitting this proposal for the production of the Hospitals of Regina Foundation’s Story of Inspiration video, to be completed before May 16, 2025 in time for the Four Seasons Ball fundraising event. This video will feature a compelling and heartfelt story of two twin boys who had complicated births, told through interviews with the boys’ parents.

Production will take place over one day, on a date and location coordinated by the Hospitals of Regina Foundation. If permissible, the producer and director would like the opportunity to meet the parents and scout the location in advance of the production day in order to come up with the best plan of action for lighting and to coordinate location-specific details. Interviews will be captured with a two-camera setup, and B-roll will also be captured. The lighting and visual style will be high-key (brighter than some of the video examples below).

The finished video will run 6 to 8 minutes in length, and will be professionally edited, sound mixed, and colour graded. The end result will be a finely polished video that evokes a strong emotional response from the attendees of the Four Seasons Ball, as well as continuing to touch viewers that find the video through the Hospitals of Regina Foundation’s YouTube channel.
